Job summary

Loungers plc is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Concho Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll lead the kitchen team, support the Head Chef, and ensure dishes leaving the pass are consistently top quality. The role offers a 48-hour contract (40-hour option), with overtime pay, a bonus scheme, and real progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef, or Chef de Partie ready for next step.
• Strong leadership and ability to guide a busy kitchen under pressure.
• Committed to high standards of food quality, cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence from prep to final plate.
• Support Head Chef and act as right hand in their absence.
• Set high standards on the pass for pace, quality and hygiene.
• Own key routines: prep, stock, waste, orders and handovers.
• Coach and develop team members to improve their skills and performance.
