Job summary

The Horse & Groom in Hare Hatch is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and help lead daily operations alongside the Head Chef.

You will oversee food quality, presentation and service, mentor junior staff, and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for guests at our pub restaurant.

We offer a basic salary up to £34,000 plus tronc, paid overtime, a management bonus scheme up to £1,500, great cash tips, and a full benefits package including pension and life cover.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering and hospitality at junior sous/sous or kitchen manager level.
• Positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Run the kitchen alongside the Head Chef and lead the team.
• Drive the food culture and ensure exciting new dishes are prepared and presented.
• Mentor and manage junior kitchen staff to maintain high standards.
