Job summary

Marston's PLC is seeking a Sous Chef to be second in command in our kitchen, stepping up to cover the Head Chef when needed. You will support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and be responsible for running the line during service.

Join our team and help develop the kitchen crew, maintain top food and service standards, and contribute to a vibrant, customer-focused pub environment. Flexible and part-time hours are available to suit personal commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience in branded kitchens or as Commis Chef.
• Ability to assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Capable of running the service line and maintaining standards.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef - stepping up and covering for them when they're not on shift.
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service
