Job summary

Loungers is hiring a full-time Sous Chef for Bonzo Lounge, a local cafe bar. You’ll lead kitchen shifts, support the Head Chef, and ensure every dish leaving the pass meets high standards. This permanent role offers a 48-hour contract (40-hour option) with overtime and a generous bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef in hospitality.
• Ability to lead kitchen shifts and maintain service standards.
• Commitment to high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.
• Coaching and developing junior chefs.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen shifts with confidence from prep to final plate.
• Support Head Chef and act as right hand in absence.
• Set tone for high standards on the pass.
• Manage prep, par, stock, waste and orders.
• Coach team and deliver great food each shift.
