Job summary

Novotel Wolverhampton is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes in a busy hotel kitchen. You will work closely with the front of house team, deputise in the Head Chef’s absence, and ensure smooth service across straight shifts with flexibility.

Responsibilities include menu preparation, food ordering, HACCP compliance, health and safety, training junior staff, and maintaining high standards. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP in a busy kitchen environment, ideally hotel based.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for quality.
• Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide a small kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that every dish is prepared and executed to the highest standards.
• Food ordering to ensure full menu availability and minimum wastage
• Daily due diligence with HACCP procedures
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to exceed our external audits
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high food standards.
