Warner Hotels in Lakeside on Hayling Island invites applications for a talented Sous Chef to join the culinary team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, train junior chefs, ensure food safety, monitor inventory and costs, and support the Head Chef in achieving high guest satisfaction in a branded environment.

Join our team at Lakeside, part of the Warner Hotels Group. This hotel on Hayling Island has spa facilities, a cabaret restaurant, and overlooks a lake near the Hampshire coast.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to join the culinary team at Warner Hotels, helping to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

As Sous Chef, what will I be doing?

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are properly organised and prepared for service.


• Supervising and training junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.


• Ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.


• Monitoring inventory levels and managing food costs to meet financial targets.


• Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback

What are we looking for?

A Sous Chef who understands the importance of working in a branded environment. You will have the ability to create a culture of support and actively encourages teamwork.You’ll be willing to challenge and coach the team if standards aren’t meeting required levels, as you’re a chef with a passion for great food and service.
