Job summary

Warner Hotels Lakeside in Hayling Island is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to lead the culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will manage kitchen operations, train junior chefs, and ensure top food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring all stations are organised and ready for service.
• Supervise and train junior chefs, promoting a positive, collaborative working environment.
• Ensure food safety standards, including storage, handling and cooking techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage food costs to meet financial targets.
• Support Head Chef in maintaining high guest satisfaction and responding to guest feedback.

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are properly organised and prepared for service.
• Supervising and training junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
• Monitoring inventory levels and managing food costs to meet financial targets.
• Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback

You'll be willing to challenge and coach the team if standards aren't meeting required levels, as you're a chef with a passion for great food and service.
