Job summary

Bel & The Dragon Kingsclere is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and run the kitchen in their absence. You will craft dishes from seasonal, local ingredients and lead a team during busy services.

You will bring creativity, a strong food knowledge, hygiene standards, and a passion for hospitality. This role combines hands-on cooking with leadership in a charming country inn setting.

Responsibilities

• Take full control of the kitchen when Head Chef is away.
• Prepare fresh dishes using seasonal, local ingredients.
• Lead and develop the kitchen team to deliver high-quality service.
• Maintain rigorous hygiene and food safety across the line.
• Ensure smooth service during busy periods and specials.

Job description
