Job summary

Butcombe Group is seeking a Sous Chef to join their vibrant kitchen teams across stunning UK locations. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth, safe, and high-quality kitchen operations, while mentoring junior chefs and managing stock and ordering. The role offers development and a positive, high-performing culture.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional food and memorable dining experiences as part of a renowned hospitality group.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Supporting with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation across every dish.
• Coaching and mentoring chefs within the team, sharing knowledge and building capability.
• Helping to manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Taking the lead in the Head Chef's absence and supporting the development of the wider kitchen team.
• Playing a key role in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
