Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Sous Chef for a Firecrest/Vintage Inns setting. You will lead a kitchen section, train staff, and support the Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control while upholding branded standards.

The role focuses on teamwork, delivering quality dishes, and maintaining hygiene and safety across the kitchen. You’ll work within a pub group known for its warm, traditional atmosphere, offering flexible shifts, staff discounts, and opportunities for career progression

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
