Job summary

Melville Inn, part of Mitchells & Butlers, is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to lead a busy kitchen and train great people.

You’ll run a section, stepping up in the Head Chef’s absence, and ensure the team works as one to deliver high quality dishes that delight our guests.

• Proven experience as a sous chef in a busy kitchen.
• Passion for serving great food and training staff.
• Ability to lead in Head Chef's absence.

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
