Job summary

Gateway Hospitality Recruitment is assisting a busy Newbury hotel in finding a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef. You will work in a modern kitchen using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients to deliver a high-quality British menu in the restaurant and bar.

The ideal candidate will have Sous Chef or strong junior Sous experience, be able to supervise in the Head Chef's absence, and show ambition to develop junior staff and progress in a busy hotel environment. Own transport is required.

Qualifications

Currently a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous looking to step up
Experience in busy hotel or similar venue
Ability to work unsupervised and develop junior team members
Ambitious with clear career goals

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chef you will be assisted by junior chefs
Working in the Modern kitchen using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients
Serving Modern British Menu using all fresh produce
Strong management skills

A Fantastic opportunity has arisen at this busy Hotel in the Newbury area for a Sous Chef. As part of a talented brigade you will be assist the Head Chef in serving food for the restaurant & bar. You will be a talented Sous Chef looking to work with quality ingredients in a top hotel kitchen. There is no live in so you will need own transport.
