Job summary

Fuller’s The Grove Lock in Leighton Buzzard is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen in their absence. You will prepare fresh, seasonal dishes and bring creativity to the menu while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

You’ll inspire the kitchen team and help deliver excellent service across busy services. We offer growth opportunities, training, and a benefits package including discounts, Wagestream access, and a healthcare plan.

Qualifications

• Hygiene qualification and strong knowledge of food safety.
• Creativity and ability to develop fresh dishes.
• Ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff during busy services.

Responsibilities

• As a deputy to the Head Chef, you will take full control of the kitchen when they are away.
• Someone who will take pride in preparing fresh food made from seasonal, local ingredients.
• A creative Sous Chef who can bring new ideas and create fresh dishes.
• Bring the best out of the kitchen team.
• Take pride in every successful service.
• Hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all essential for this role.
