Job summary

Old Ship in Lee-on-the-Solent is seeking a Sous Chef who has a passion for great food, training great people and making guests smile. You’ll run a section, lead your team and step up in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and everyone works as one.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and delivering high-quality dishes.
• Ability to train and motivate team members to work cohesively.
• Experience with stock control, food ordering and cost awareness.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
