Job summary

The Globe in Topsham, part of St Austell Brewery, is seeking a versatile Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in a busy kitchen. You’ll work with locally sourced produce to craft high-quality dishes and ensure precise execution of each plate.

In a fast-paced environment, you’ll help lead the kitchen team, maintain cleanliness and safety, and contribute to menu writing to meet business and guest needs.

Qualifications

• Versatile Sous Chef with experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team.
• Work with locally sourced produce to produce high-quality dishes.
• Ensure procedures and dish specifications are met precisely.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in managing kitchen operations during service.
• Prepare and plate dishes to the restaurant's standards.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety and stock control.
• Contribute to menu writing and daily specials.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent guest experiences.
