Job summary

Grantley Hall in Harrogate is seeking a Sommelier to lead wine service, create and manage a 300-bottle cellar, and train staff with wine knowledge. You will support food service with the restaurant team and ensure top-level guest experience.

We value previous sommelier experience, a passion for service excellence, wine decanting skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Qualification: Level 2 WSET or CMS; professional presentation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create, purchase and manage a cellar of 300 wines.
• Inspire and train staff with wine knowledge and service excellence.
• Assist with food service with restaurant team when possible.
• Maintain wine and drinks service at the highest level.
• Make wine and food pairings recommendations.
• Deliver wine events and tastings for guests.
• Take ownership of cellars and stock distribution.
• Drive sales to maximise restaurant profit.
