Solicitor - Employment Health – Bristol – 4+ Years PQE

Location: Bristol

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)

Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)

A highly respected national law firm is seeking an Employment Health Associate with 4+ years’ post‑qualification experience to join its top‑tier Employment, Pensions & Immigration team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work with market‑leading partners, manage complex litigation, and advise high‑profile clients in the health and care sector, alongside opportunities in other key markets.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Advising NHS organisations, independent healthcare providers, and voluntary sector operators on employment matters.
  • Managing complex litigation across tribunals, the EAT, Court of Appeal and High Court.
  • Supporting multi‑disciplinary teams on TUPE, workforce issues, and transactional due diligence.
  • Delivering training and supporting client relationship management.
  • Supervising junior colleagues and contributing to business development.
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:

  • 4+ years PQE in employment law, ideally with health and care sector experience.
  • Strong litigation and/or advocacy skills, with confidence in managing complex cases.
  • TUPE and transactional experience, including drafting and advising on workforce aspects.
  • Experience in restructures, redundancy processes, and employee relations issues.
  • Strong technical and drafting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Motivation, organisation, and a proactive mindset.
  • Experience delivering training and supervising junior colleagues.
