Job summary

Cloudflare’s Egress team is seeking a software engineer to contribute to a cutting-edge network software infrastructure that enables egress connectivity across products like WARP and iCloud Private Relay. You will design, implement, and test systems using Rust, Go, Linux networking, Kubernetes, and related technologies, collaborating with multiple engineering and SRE teams.

You will own end-to-end tasks from specs to production releases, participate in on-call rotations, and apply AI-assisted

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Own the architecture of complex distributed systems end-to-end.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Experience maintaining on-call rotations.
• Willingness to adopt AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and document system architectures.
• Write code and automated tests.
• Plan releases for complex changes.
• Coordinate production deployments with teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure uptime.
• Investigate and triage customer issues escalated to Egress.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering and SRE.
