Job summary

Burman Recruitment Limited in London is seeking an Assistant Soft FM Operations Manager to oversee high-quality, customer-focused soft services across multiple busy sites and act as joint deputy to the Facilities Operations Manager.

You will lead internal teams, manage external contractors, join a rolling Duty Manager rota, ensure safety, compliance, and smooth daily operations across public sector sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Soft FM operations and people management.
• Experience in contractor management and SLA/KPI oversight.
• Strong budget management and financial control skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service track record.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day Soft FM services, site inspections, and building standards.
• Line-manage front-of-house, reception, and site services teams.
• Manage out-sourced suppliers, driving SLA/KPI compliance and performance reviews.
• Manage departmental budgets, identify cost savings, and embed sustainable practices.
• Act as Duty Manager for swift incident resolution and operational continuity.
