Job Title: Social Worker – Child Protection

Location: Salford City Council

Rate: £39 per hour

Salford Council is looking for a social worker for their safeguarding and support service.

Responsibilities include:

• Responding to referrals from MASH and completing assessments within 45 days.
• Identifying needs and working with children and families to provide support and implement plans.
• Handling section 47 enquiries, CIN, assessments, and planning.
• Collaborating with professionals to support children and families.
• Managing cases involving children on child in need plans, transferring cases to longer-term assessment services as appropriate.
• Developing care plans to ensure safety and well-being.
• Providing immediate support and intervention in crisis situations.
• Coordinating with law enforcement, legal professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
• Preparing reports and participating in court proceedings.
• Reviewing and updating care plans regularly.
• Offering emotional support and advocacy.
• Maintaining accurate records of interactions, assessments, and interventions.
• Participating in professional development and training.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK license, have post-qualified experience, and possess a degree or equivalent in Social Work.
