Our client, Salford Council, is seeking an Adult Social Worker to join their Mental Health Team.
We are looking to recruit two experienced social workers to serve as Mental Health Commissioning and Review Officers within Salford's community mental health services. The postholders will be based at Prescott House Community Mental Health Team (CMHTs) in Little Hulton and Ramsgate House in Lower Broughton. The primary responsibility will be to complete 12-month statutory reviews of mental health care packages in accordance with the Care Act and s.117 Mental Health Act.
Mental health Adult Social Care in Salford is delivered under local s.75 arrangements, with social workers based within integrated, multidisciplinary community teams within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Ideal candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, experience in delivering relevant social care statutory functions, and a commitment to a person-centred, strengths-based approach. Flexibility and efficiency in work are essential to meet service needs.
Applicants must have access to a car, as travel around Salford and to other boroughs for out-of-area placements will be required. A collaborative approach with other Review Officers is necessary to promote effective service delivery across all CMHTs.
