An excellent opportunity has arisen to appoint a Child Protection Coordinator.
We are on our way to achieving our goal to provide Outstanding support and care to children, families, carers, and practitioners across Salford.
As a Child Protection Coordinator, you will work as part of a strong dedicated team to review and coordinate child protection plans. You will be responsible for chairing Initial and Review Child Protection meetings and ensuring a robust plan is put into place. The Child Protection Coordinator will continue to monitor the effectiveness of that plan, ensuring that children's needs are met and appropriate services are in place.
The Child Protection Coordinator will collaboratively work with families, social workers, and other professionals to safeguard the welfare of vulnerable children.
The post holder will be a qualified Social Worker with at least 3 years post qualifying Social Work experience, be registered with Social Work England, and have experience in safeguarding children. You will be able to display and promote Salford’s behaviours and values, whilst demonstrating enthusiasm and passion for protecting children and young people across the city.
