Practice Manager Child Protection and Child in Need Team.

Working hours: 36 hours per week

Interviews will take place the week of the 17th March 2025

An excellent opportunity has arisen to appoint a Practice Manager within our Child Protection/Child in Need Team.

We are on our way to achieving our goal to provide Outstanding support and care to children, families, carers and practitioners across Salford.

The post holder will have at least 5 years post qualifying Social Work experience, have experience of delivering supervision, be able to display and promote Salford’s behaviours and values, whilst demonstrating enthusiasm and passion for protecting children and young people across the city.

Your role will include:

  • Oversight and management of the day to day delivery of all aspects of the Social Work team, with a focus on the quality and improvement of social work and service delivery.
  • Ensuring effective participation of children, young people, and families, and that their lived experiences inform plans.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation, record keeping, accounting, and communication, ensuring effective information strategies and systems are in place.
  • Regular and effective analysis, monitoring, measurement, and maintaining of team performance to ensure impact on outcomes for children and families is understood.
  • Accountable to the Service Manager for staff supervision, care, and development of the team.
