A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated social worker to support children and families. This role involves providing professional services under current legislation and working collaboratively with service users and professionals. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery and join the PVG Scheme. The position is fixed-term until 31 December 2026 and requires satisfactory pre-employment checks.
Provide a professional field social work services to children, families, individuals and groups within current legislation, policies and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council through working in partnership with service users, other professionals and agencies within the wider community.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Fixed Term for a period not exceeding: 31 December 2026

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
This post has a minimum requirement of two references which must be your current or most recent employer.
