Job description

We’re looking for a Social Media Lead to oversee Crack’s presence across social platforms. This is a creative, editorially-driven role for someone who not only understands internet culture but also has genuine knowledge of and enthusiasm for music. You’ll be part of a team responsible for shaping how Crack speaks online, from daily posts to bigger campaigns, while also stepping in front of the camera to interview artists and present content to our audience.

Role

  • Lead day-to-day management of Crack’s social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
  • Write clear, compelling copy for captions, posts and social assets in Crack’s editorial voice
  • Work with the editorial and video teams to plan and deliver content around features, covers, shoots, festivals and brand partnerships
  • Develop creative formats for Crack’s channels, including face-to-camera explainers, artist interviews and cultural commentary
  • Stay on top of music news, internet culture and emerging trends to keep Crack’s content sharp and relevant
  • Grow Crack’s audience and engagement while maintaining brand integrity

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of music and contemporary culture, with the ability to speak confidently and editorially about it
  • Experience writing engaging copy in a professional, editorial or creative context, with an ability to adapt quickly to Crack’s tone of voice
  • Confident on camera and comfortable interviewing artists or presenting to an audience
  • Skilled at using social platforms natively, with a strong eye for cultural trends and storytelling
  • Organised, collaborative and able to balance multiple projects at once
  • Previous experience managing brand or media social accounts is desirable
  • Understanding of branded content and partnerships
  • Familiarity with Crack’s editorial tone and audience
  • Some experience in video editing for social (Premiere, CapCut, etc.)
  • Well-versed in creating social assets with graphic templates
