Job summary

Allica Bank is seeking a proactive commercial lending relationship specialist to drive the end‑to‑end journey from first contact to funded SME loans in the UK. You will reach out to established customers, understand their funding needs, and lead campaigns to collect information for underwriting.

You will work closely with Risk, Legal and Data, updating the CRM, and delivering weekly progress on calls, conversations and funded loans while ensuring compliance and accurate records throughout the

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or relationship management in lending/fintech.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple conversations with SME owners.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM and basic data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to existing and previous customers to understand funding needs and record outcomes in HubSpot.
• Maintain a consistent follow-up routine to move opportunities through the funnel.
• Collect bank statements or Open Banking data and pass complete applications to Underwriting with context.
• Explain loan terms, pricing and guarantees clearly, escalating to Risk/Compliance as needed.
• Support customers through offer, KYC refresh, legal documents and direct debit setup until funding.
• Handle declines with care and refer customers elsewhere only with consent.
• Run outreach campaigns across email, statements, SMS, Whatsapp and LinkedIn with Data team collaboration.
• Keep CRM up to date with reasons for rejections or decisions not to proceed.
• Provide weekly reports on calls, conversations, applications, offers and funded loans.
