Job summary

Yorkshire Water is recruiting a Smart Metering Contract and Delivery Manager to lead the AMP8 meter rollout. Based at Leeds with hybrid working, you will coordinate partners, drive KPI performance, ensure governance and deliver 1.4 million meters across the programme.

You will oversee contractor relationships, manage day-to-day delivery with MGroup/Netmore, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality across installations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Smart Metering at a management level.
• Ability to make risk-based operational decisions with cost implications.
• Financial awareness in regulated environments or large-scale projects.
• Proven track record leading teams to deliver large programmes.
• Experience managing relationships with consultants and contract partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the AMP8 smart metering contract and ensure collaboration to deliver target installations.
• Own and manage the meter rollout plan with partners to meet regulatory deliverables.
• Implement and maintain project governance using standard frameworks.
• Ensure high-quality customer service throughout the install journey.
• Lead continuous improvement and lessons learned sessions to address issues.
• Manage the delivery team and ensure health and safety standards are met.
