Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a Technical Strategy Specialist (Metering) to help deliver smart metering ambitions from Lingley Mere, Warrington. The role focuses on analysing and improving metering processes to enhance customer experience and operational delivery.

You will collaborate with the Metering Strategy Manager, contribute to cross-functional delivery plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting wider demand management objectives.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of metering processes including SMART installation and meter connectivity.
• Strong understanding of OFWAT/MOSL regulatory requirements for smart meter installations.
• Experience with stakeholder management and working with internal/external partners.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with external suppliers to encourage product development and optimization.
• Support Delivery Strategy Manager on industry groups and projects.
• Act as SME for metering policies and update them per business/regulatory needs.
• Own data impact assessments for industry changes affecting Smart Delivery.
• Assist in process standardisation and simplification per market codes and metering strategy.
