Job summary

SSE Smart Buildings is seeking a Smart Buildings Support Engineer to join the BMS Support team. Based across London and South East England, you will perform maintenance, upgrades, and energy-saving initiatives while progressing your skills in a leading-edge building controls environment.

You will respond to breakdowns, support customers and stakeholders, and deliver clear reports. The role demands travel, effective communication, and a proactive, on-site presence.

Qualifications

• Experience with BEMS/HVAC building controls across Siemens, Trend, Distech or Tridium.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers and suppliers.
• Agile, flexible and able to support an on-call rota.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, small upgrades and additions on BMS systems.
• Respond to and resolve reactive breakdowns during core hours and on-call shifts.
• Identify system improvements and software enhancements for energy performance.
• Provide detailed, concise reports from onsite activities.
