Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon is seeking a Band 6 Senior Speech & Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Exeter. You will manage a caseload of children with complex SLCN and provide supervision to junior SLTs within CFHD pathways.

You will employ evidence-based interventions, contribute to audits, and participate in teaching and developing services for complex paediatric cases, ensuring HCPC/RCSLT registration is maintained.

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
• Full Registration with Health Professions Council.
• Membership of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Evidence of specialist post graduate short courses in paediatric communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex SLCN.
• Provide supervision to less experienced SLTs.
• Coordinate clinic days and student placements.
• Audit outcomes for interventions and report to locality lead.
• Ensure clinical effectiveness via evidence-based interventions and routine outcome measures.
• Promote service user participation and engagement.
• Attend training to maintain HCPC and RCSLT registration.
