Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Speech and Language Therapist to join the Complex Needs SLT team. The role involves supporting our SLTs to deliver interventions across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire in homes, clinics, nurseries and schools.

You will work with children with significant SEN and communication difficulties, including AAC users, and you will be supervised by Specialist SLTs with opportunities for CPD and development within a supportive

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 equivalent qualification.
• Ability to work flexibly and in a team.
• Experience with safeguarding children.
• Experience with children with significant SEN and speech, language and communication difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Support SLTs to deliver a range of interventions across community venues (homes, clinics, nurseries, schools).
• Manage own clinical diary and prioritise appointments within a supervisory framework.
• Work across settings such as homes, clinics, nurseries and schools to support children with complex needs.
• Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is essential.
