Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Slough is seeking a Data Centre Technician to join the team on a 12‑hour rotating shift, delivering 24/7 data centre support and installing racks, housing, network and computer equipment.

You will collaborate with global teams and 3rd party engineers, manage cabling, testing and labelling, and help maintain tidy, secure asset information and installations.

Candidates should have computer/hardware experience, a proactive attitude and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must have computer engineering experience or equivalent knowledge.
• Proven cabling experience and ability to install rack-mounted equipment.
• Experience with hardware maintenance and replacing components.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Willingness to travel to satellite sites and work with third-party teams.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure racks, housing, network and customer IT equipment.
• Administer cabling, testing, labelling and tracking of components.
• Maintain tidy, secure data centre environments and asset information.
• Provide 24/7 support on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern and liaise with global teams.
