Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Data Centre Engineer to provide technical assistance and 24/7 support for our London-based data centres, including Docklands and Croydon. You will install racks, housing, and network equipment, and manage cabling, power, and hardware components.

Role requires strong computer engineering and cabling knowledge, plus experience with HP, Cisco, Dell, Arista gear. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a 12-hour shift pattern and 8-hour split

Qualifications

• Computer engineering experience to optimise working methods.
• Cabling knowledge for proper installation and testing.
• Rack-mount kit installation including major brands listed.
• Hardware maintenance and replacement of failed parts.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Willigness to innovate and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Install racks, housing, network and computer equipment in data centres.
• Identify issues in hardware or cabling and replace components as needed.
• Coordinate with global counterparts and third parties on hardware issues.
• Uphold standards for tidiness, security, asset information and installation.
• Provide 24/7 coverage with shift patterns (12-hour and split shifts).
