Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Data Centre Technician to support 24/7 data centre operations at the Slough campus. You will install racks, manage cabling and hardware, and work on 12-hour rotating shifts to ensure service excellence.

The role requires hands-on hardware knowledge, practical installation skills for HP/DELL/CISCO gear, and the ability to liaise with global teams and contractors. On-site location in London area with travel to satellite sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Computer engineering experience and knowledge to optimize methods.
• Cabling experience to optimize methods.
• Rack mount kit installation including HP/DELL/CISCO hardware maintenance.
• Willingness to improve operational efficiency through innovation and new practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems effectively.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Excellent teamwork and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and 24/7 support for data centre operations.
• Install racks, housing, network and computer equipment.
• Manage cabling, power strips, rails and component replacements.
• Liaise with global teams and third-party engineers on hardware issues.
• Travel to unmanned satellite/Pop sites as required for operational reasons.
