Job summary

Bimplus is seeking a Site Supervisor for a water infrastructure project in Blackpool. This 6-month contract involves tunnelling and shaft construction, with an immediate start for an experienced underground civils supervisor.

The role runs 7:00am–7:00pm with weekend flexibility to meet the programme. You will supervise site operatives and subcontractors, coordinate materials, plant and labour, and ensure safe, on-schedule delivery to specification.

Job description

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to help deliver a water infrastructure scheme in Blackpool, with an immediate start available. This is a 6-month contract involving tunnelling and shaft construction, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor with a strong underground civils background.

The role is 7:00am – 7:00pm, and candidates must be flexible to work weekends when required to meet the project programme.

• Health and safety compliance

• Overseeing the day‑to‑day delivery of tunnelling, shaft sinking, and associated civil engineering works
• Coordinating plant, labour, and site activities
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
• Monitoring quality standards and maintaining site records
• Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager with project delivery
• Black or Gold CSCS
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Previous experience supervising water infrastructure schemes
• Experience delivering tunnelling, shaft sinking, deep excavations, or other underground civil engineering projects
• Flexible to work 7:00am – 7:00pm and weekends when required
