Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Site Manager to deliver a water treatment scheme in Preston, with an immediate start. The role covers tunnelling and shaft construction and requires a strong civil engineering background and underground works experience.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, health and safety compliance, subcontractors, and client/stakeholder liaison, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to specification.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tunnelling and shaft construction projects.
• Experience on water treatment or water infrastructure schemes.
• CSCS Gold or Black card and SMSTS qualification.
• Strong civil engineering background and site management experience.

Responsibilities

• Running day-to-day site operations and coordinating subcontractors.
• Conduct toolbox talks and site safety compliance.
• Liaising with client and stakeholders to manage expectations.
• Ordering materials and managing RAMS, permits and temporary works.
• Ensuring works are completed on programme and to specification.
• Overseeing quality control, inspections and as-built records.
• Support project reporting and programme delivery.
