Job summary

RTL Group Ltd's project team is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a major water treatment infrastructure programme. You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate labour and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the specified drawings.

You will lead site operatives, manage plant and equipment, monitor quality, and promote a strong safety culture on live water treatment environments.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Oversee civil engineering, groundworks, drainage, concrete and related construction activities on a water treatment site.
• Lead site operatives, plant operators, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain safe and productive working practices.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specifications, RAMS, permits and project requirements.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and site access to maintain productivity and milestones.
• Monitor quality, progress and compliance with project standards.
• Collaborate with Site Manager, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives for delivery.
• Promote health, safety, environmental and quality culture on live water treatment sites.
• Complete daily site records, inspections, briefings and toolbox talks.

Site Supervisor

Our client, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join their team on a major water treatment infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.
• Oversee civil engineering, groundworks, drainage, concrete, and associated construction activities within a water treatment environment.
• Lead site operatives, plant operators, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain safe and productive working practices.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, RAMS, permits, and project requirements.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and site access to maintain productivity and meet project milestones.
• Monitor quality, progress, and compliance with project standards.
• Work closely with the Site Manager, Engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
• Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture, particularly on live or operational water treatment sites.
• Complete daily site records, inspections, briefings, and toolbox talks.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Civil Engineering Supervisor, or similar.
• Strong experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally within the water treatment, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and RAMS.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Gold CSCS card required.
• SMSTS or SSSTS required.
• First Aid at Work qualification required.
• Previous experience working on water treatment plants, wastewater treatment works, or utility projects is highly desirable.
• EUSR Water Hygiene and other relevant water industry qualifications would be advantageous.
