Job summary

Landmarc Support Services is recruiting a Site Operative to assist with Ammunition Stores and to maintain grounds and buildings for Armed Forces training at Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland. No prior experience required, just a can-do attitude and a commitment to safety.

The position is permanent, part-time (15 hours per week) with shifts mainly Thursdays and Fridays 07:30–15:30 and occasional weekends. Benefits include pension contributions, holiday allowance pro rata, and development

Qualifications

• Experience with general site housekeeping and caretaking is desirable.
• Familiar with health and safety procedures and reporting.
• Good communication and ability to complete documentation.
• Basic IT skills to use tablets and IT systems.
• A valid UK driving licence is required due to site location.
• Forklift licence is advantageous but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Keep the camps general areas clean and fit for purpose.
• Handover and take back facilities from users.
• Clean offices, communal areas and blocks including ablutions.
• Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming tasks.
• Support a multi-tasking mobile team environment.
• Operate and maintain plant equipment; forklift training will be given.
• Carry out stock management and document on IT/paper systems.
• Undertake any additional site duties as required.

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be predominately responsible for assisting with the Ammunition Stores, typical tasks will include dealing with service users, maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train. Salary: £13.99 per hour Annual Allowances: £457.09 pro rata for working weekends Shifts: Predominantly Thurs & Fri, 07:30 - 15:30 with occasional weekend shifts Contract: Permanent, Part-time, 15 hours p/w Location: Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6PA

What You’ll Do

• Looking after the camps general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose
• Handover and take back site facilities from facility users
• Cleaning offices, communal facilities and accommodation blocks, including ablutions, shower blocks etc.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Work in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment
• Operation and maintenance of plant equipment to include Fork lift (training will be provided)
• General building and Grounds maintenance
• Stock management tasks
• Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems
• Carry out any other additional requirements as needed

What We’re Looking For

• General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge

• Hold a valid UK driving licence due to the rural location of this site
• Fork lift licence would be advantageous but training will be given
