Landmarc Support Services is seeking a Site Operative to join our team at Ballykinler Camp. You will help look after Training Estate facilities, keeping accommodation blocks clean and grounds in good order to ensure a safe, sustainable environment for Armed Forces training.

No prior experience is required—just a can‑do attitude. The role offers clear career progression, comprehensive benefits, and a stable, permanent contract for 37 hours weekly, with some weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Health and Safety procedures.

• Confidence completing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining camp cleanliness to ensure facilities are safe, tidy and fit for use.
• Cleaning offices, communal areas and accommodation blocks, including ablutions and showers.
• Completing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• Managing cleaning materials and supplies to ensure stock is available when needed.
• Supporting general building upkeep to keep facilities in good working order.
• Carrying out basic grounds tasks when required.
• Completing accommodation handover and take‑back duties.
• Recording information using paper‑based and digital systems.
• Undertaking additional tasks to support smooth site operations.

Job description

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train. Role Details

• Salary: £26,910.75 + £1,127.50 weekend allowance p/a
• Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–13:00, with occasional weekend duties
• Location: Ballykinler Camp, Northern Ireland, BT30 8DQ

What We’re Looking For

• General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge
• Understanding of Health and Safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Confidence completing documentation
• Basic IT skills, including using a tablet
• A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the rural location
