Job summary

Landmarc Solutions is seeking a Site Operative to assist with upkeep of Ammunition Stores and general site facilities at Warcop Camp. The role focuses on cleanliness, handover of facilities, and grounds maintenance to support Armed Forces training in a safe environment.

The position offers permanent part-time hours (15 per week) with weekend shifts possible and benefits such as pension contributions and holiday allowances. Forklift training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to complete documentation.
• Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence due to the rural location of this site.
• Fork lift licence would be advantageous but training will be given.

Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be predominately responsible for assisting with the Ammunition Stores , typical tasks will include dealing with service users, maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

Role details

• Salary: £13.99 per hour
• Annual Allowances: £457.09 pro rata for working weekends
• Shifts: Predominantly Thurs & Fri, 07:30 – 15:30 with occasional weekend shifts
• Contract: Permanent, Part-time, 15 hours p/w
• Location: Warcop Camp, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6PA

What You’ll Do

• Looking after the camps general cleanliness, ensuring it is fit for purpose
• Handover and take back site facilities from facility users
• Cleaning offices, communal facilities and accommodation blocks, including ablutions, shower blocks etc.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
• Work in a diverse multi-tasking mobile team environment
• Operation and maintenance of plant equipment to include Fork lift (training will be provided)
• General building and Grounds maintenance
• Stock management tasks
• Complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems
• Carry out any other additional requirements as needed
