Job summary

Landmarc Support Services requires a Site Operative to maintain the Training Estate facilities at Ballykinler Camp. You will clean accommodation blocks, tidy offices and communal areas, and carry out basic grounds work to keep the site safe for Armed Forces training. A great can-do attitude helps; no prior experience needed.

The role offers a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £26,910.75 plus weekend allowance, and a benefits package including pension and holidays.

Qualifications

• General housekeeping and caretaking knowledge.
• Understanding of Health and Safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Confidence completing documentation.
• Basic IT skills, including using a tablet.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential due to the rural location.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining camp cleanliness to ensure facilities are safe, tidy and fit for use.
• Cleaning offices, communal areas and accommodation blocks, including ablutions and showers.
• Completing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• Managing cleaning materials and supplies to ensure stock is available when needed.
• Carrying out basic grounds tasks when required.
• Completing accommodation handover and take-back duties.
• Recording information accurately using paper-based and digital systems.
• Undertaking additional tasks as needed to support the smooth running of the site.

Job Introduction

Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Site Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for looking after the Training Estate facilities, typical tasks will include cleaning accommodation blocks, and maintaining the grounds and buildings to ensure a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to stay while they train.

• Salary:£26,910.75 + £1,127.50 weekend allowance p/a
• Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–13:00, with occasional weekend duties
