Job summary

Ionic Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join projects across Cardiff and South Wales. You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and trades, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and to high standards.

The ideal candidate has supermarket/retail fit-out experience, strong knowledge of sequencing, and is hands-on, organised and proactive, with SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid credentials, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join an established and growing contractor delivering supermarket and retail fit-out projects across Cardiff and South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who has a background in supermarket, retail, commercial fit-out or refurbishment and is looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of projects.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard.

The Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management.
• Experience working to tight programmes and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel across South Wales and surrounding areas.

Location & Travel

The role will be based around Cardiff and South Wales, with projects potentially covering areas including Newport, Swansea, Bridgend, Barry, Caerphilly and surrounding areas.

Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on project location.

Due to the nature of supermarket fit‑out projects, some early starts, late finishes, weekend or night working may occasionally be required to meet project programmes and client deadlines.
