Job summary

The role is based around Cardiff and South Wales, working for a prominent contractor delivering supermarket and retail fit-out projects. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management, coordinating subcontractors, managing logistics and ensuring work is on programme and to a high standard.

We seek an experienced Site Manager with supermarket/retail fit-out experience, strong communication, and a proven track record in delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, hands-on, proactive site leadership with a track record in supermarket/retail fit-out.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades on site.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management.
• Ability to work to tight programmes and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join an established and growing contractor delivering supermarket and retail fit-out projects across Cardiff and South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who has a background in supermarket, retail, commercial fit-out or refurbishment and is looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of projects.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard.

The Role

• Managing the day-to-day running of the site.


• Coordinating subcontractors, trades and site personnel.


• Managing site logistics, deliveries and materials.


• Ensuring projects remain on programme.


• Coordinating multiple trades and specialist contractors.


• Reading and working from construction drawings and specifications.


• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.

About You

• Experience working to tight programmes and deadlines.


• Excellent communication and organisational skills.


• A strong understanding of health & safety requirements.


• SMSTS.


• CSCS card.


• First Aid qualification.


• Full UK driving licence.


• Willingness to travel across South Wales and surrounding areas.

Location & Travel

The role will be based around Cardiff and South Wales, with projects potentially covering areas including Newport, Swansea, Bridgend, Barry, Caerphilly and surrounding areas.

Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required depending on project location.

Due to the nature of supermarket fit-out projects, some early starts, late finishes, weekend or night working may occasionally be required to meet project programmes and client deadlines
