Job summary

Velocity Recruitment is seeking a Site Manager (Fit Out) in Beverley to lead on high street bank fit-out projects. You will oversee all site activities, ensure quality, maintain records, and coordinate multiple subcontractors to meet schedules and standards.

Experience in retail fit-out schemes is essential, with a focus on HSQE compliance and safe operation in live environments. The role offers opportunities for progression within a growing contractor’s fit-out division.

Qualifications

SMSTS qualification required.
Black CSCS Card required.
5 Years minium experience of retail fit out
First Aid certification
Asbestos Awareness training
Trade qualification desirable, e.g. NVQ in Carpentry

Responsibilities

Oversee all site activities and monitor progress.
Ensure the effective close out of the project and that snagging commences as specified.
Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards.
Keep up to date and complete site records.
Identify potential issues which will affect successful project delivery and take necessary action.
Manage the performance of direct reports and sub-contract labour, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently.
To manage the communication of all necessary information.
Ensure HSQE standards are implemented and adhered to at all times.
Responsible for the safety of the public, when working in a live environment.
Coordinate the activities of different sub-contractors to ensure work is carried out efficiently and oversee performance to ensure work is completed on schedule and to the right standard.

This Site Manager's role is with one of the UK's leading Fit Out Contractors. They have an excellent reputation and fit out some of the well known banks and food retailers. They are a diverse organisation covering most sectors of the built environment and this specific role is within their fit out and refurbishment division. Projects are varied ranging from £500K - £20M in the commercial, retail and public sector.

The Role

We are looking for a Site Manager to join the team on an account for a major high street bank we work with.

Oversee all site activities and monitor progress.
Ensure the effective close out of the project and that snagging commences as specified.
Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards of are achieved
