Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations during final project stages.
• Coordinate and supervise remaining subcontractors (cladding, groundworks).
• Oversee completion of works (tarmac, landscaping, electrical, storage centre).
• Ensure works are on programme, to quality standards and client expectations.
• Maintain high health and safety standards across site.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and quality checks.
• Manage snagging, finishing works and project close-out activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors and project team for smooth delivery.

Site Manager (Contract) - Commercial Construction

Location: Boundary Road, Lytham, Lancashire, FY8 5BG
Rate: £280 per day
Duration: 4-5 Week Contract (Project Completion Cover)
Hours: 07:30 - 16:30

Site Manager Required - Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the final stages of a commercial construction project in Lytham, Lancashire.

We require a hands-on and detail-focused professional to take control of the site through the project close-out phase. Approximately 4-5 weeks remain on the programme, with completion scheduled for early October.

This is a critical position requiring strong health and safety leadership and the ability to manage subcontractors while driving the project to a successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations during the final project stages.
• Coordinate and supervise remaining subcontractors, including:
  • Cladding contractors
  • Groundworks contractors
• Oversee completion of:
  • Tarmac works
  • Landscaping
  • Electrical installations
  • Ancillary storage centre construction
• Ensure all works are completed to programme, quality standards and client expectations.
• Maintain exceptional health and safety standards across site.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and quality checks.
• Manage snagging, finishing works and project close-out activities.
• Liaise with subcontractors, stakeholders and the project team to ensure smooth delivery.

Essential Requirements

• Valid SMSTS
• Valid CSCS Card
• Current First Aid at Work certificate
• Previous experience managing commercial construction projects
• Proven track record of maintaining high health and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail, particularly during finishing and snagging phases
• Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme delivery under pressure
