Job summary

Construction is recruiting a Site Manager to deliver a water treatment scheme in Blackpool. The role requires an experienced civils professional with water sector background and a readiness to start immediately. 12-hour shifts are expected, including weekends, and you will manage subcontractors and maintain site safety and compliance.

You will coordinate with the client, oversee RAMS and permits, and drive daily operations to ensure the works meet programme and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management on civils or water infrastructure projects.
• Strong health and safety understanding and implementation on site.
• Good communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead toolbox talks and site briefings.
• Liaise with client and stakeholders.
• Manage day-to-day site operations and subcontractors.
• Ensure works delivered to programme, on spec and safely.
• Oversee RAMS, permits and site documentation.
• Monitor quality and site records; report progress to Project Manager.

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Site Manager to help deliver a water treatment scheme in Blackpool, with an immediate start available. This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Site Manager with a strong water and civils background.

The role will involve 12-hour shifts, and candidates must be comfortable working weekends.

Site Manager Responsibilities:

• Toolbox talks
• Client liaison
• Stakeholder liaison
• Health and safety compliance
• Ordering materials
• Managing day-to-day site operations
• Supervising subcontractors and site teams
• Overseeing works on the water treatment site
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Managing RAMS, permits and site documentation
• Overseeing quality control, inspections and site records
• Reporting progress to the Project Manager

Site Manager Requirements:

• Black or Gold CSCS
• SMSTS
• Previous experience managing water treatment or water infrastructure projects
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts
• Must be flexible to work weekends
• Good understanding of health and safety and quality requirements
• IT literate
• Full UK driving licence
