Job summary

Wates Property Services is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee either Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works or a Roofing workstream on the company’s largest contract to date, with a home office based in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

You will lead subcontractors, direct labour and operational teams to deliver projects across North and South Birmingham, while maintaining top-tier health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planned maintenance in occupied social housing.
• Proven experience managing site-based teams, subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality requirements.
• Experience overseeing FRA works, Roofing projects or similar planned maintenance programmes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of either Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) works or a Roofing workstream on what is Wates Property Services' largest contract to date.

• Managing either a dedicated FRA or Roofing stream within one of WPS's most significant contracts.
• Covering projects across North and South Birmingham, with a designated home office based in Kings Heath, Birmingham.
• Leading subcontractors, direct labour and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensuring health and safety is at the highest standards during home visits

Experience We're Seeking

Essential

• Experience delivering planned maintenance projects within occupied social housing properties.
• Proven experience managing site-based teams, subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality requirements.
• Experience overseeing FRA works, Roofing projects or similar planned maintenance programmes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor.
• Experience delivering large-scale social housing planned maintenance programmes.
• Relevant industry qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
• Knowledge of FRA, Roofing or wider compliance-led workstreams.
