Job summary

Wates Property Services is recruiting an experienced Site Manager to oversee external planned maintenance works on a major contract in North Birmingham, based from Regal Court, Kings Norton. You will lead subcontractors, direct labour and operational teams to deliver on schedule, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will coordinate daily site operations, manage progress reporting and drive excellent customer satisfaction while maintaining compliant site practices and relationships

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planned maintenance projects within occupied social housing properties.
• Proven experience managing site-based teams, subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring programme, quality and health & safety performance.
• Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Building strong relationships with residents, clients and internal stakeholders.

• Driving a culture of safety, quality and customer satisfaction across all activities.
• Ensuring FRA or Roofing works are delivered in accordance with contract requirements and industry standards.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of external planned maintenance works, on what is Wates Property Services' largest contract to date.

Opportunity Snapshot

• Managing external works stream within one of WPS's most significant contracts.
• Covering projects across North Birmingham, with a designated home office based in Regal Court, Kings Norton
• Leading subcontractors, direct labour and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensuring health and safety is at the highest standards during home visits

Experience We're Seeking

Essential

• Experience delivering planned maintenance projects within occupied social housing properties.
• Proven experience managing site-based teams, subcontractors and multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor.
• Experience delivering large-scale social housing planned maintenance programmes.
• Relevant industry qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
