Job summary

Wates Property Services are seeking an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our Planned Maintenance team, covering Brent and Ealing. The role is site-based, supporting multiple live social housing projects with commercial oversight from inception to final account.

You will manage costs, valuations, variations and subcontractor accounts while building strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, planned maintenance or refurbishment environments.
• Experience delivering projects within social housing, planned maintenance or occupied properties.
• Strong understanding of cost management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Overview

WPS are seeking an experienced Site Quantity Surveyor to join our Planned Maintenance team covering the Brent and Ealing areas. You'll support the commercial delivery of social housing planned maintenance programmes, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and in line with client expectations.

This is a site-based role offering the opportunity to work across multiple live social housing projects, providing commercial oversight from project inception through to final account.

Key Duties

As Site Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of planned maintenance projects, maintaining financial control while supporting effective project delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing project costs and commercial reporting.

Experience Required

• Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, planned maintenance or refurbishment environments.


• Experience delivering projects within social housing, planned maintenance or occupied properties.


• Strong understanding of cost management, valuations, variations and final accounts.


• Experience managing subcontractor procurement and account administration.


• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.


• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Experience working on kitchens and bathrooms, external planned works, decarbonisation programmes, retrofit schemes or other social housing maintenance frameworks would be advantageous.
