Job summary

Focus 5 Recruitment is seeking a commercially driven manager to take ownership of a York site and lead day-to-day operations. The role covers revenue, customer experience, and people leadership as you drive growth and performance.

You will balance commercial targets with operational excellence, recruit and develop a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborate with Head Office to deliver strategic improvements. An on-site, hands-on leadership style is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a business, site, branch or operational unit.
• Proven track record of delivering commercial results, with accountability for revenue and financial performance.
• Experience coaching and holding people accountable.
• Strong organisational skills: scheduling, resource planning, and reporting.
• Data-driven, solutions-focused with ability to challenge performance.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Owning revenue targets, sales performance, KPIs, budgets and P&L.
• Leading, motivating and developing a multi-disciplinary team.
• Managing rotas, resource planning, one-to-ones and individual performance.
• Monitoring and reporting on business unit performance, identifying opportunities to improve results.
• Driving sales conversion, diary utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Taking ownership of the customer journey, service standards and site presentation.
• Identifying the root causes of performance issues and implementing practical solutions.
• Working closely with Head Office and senior stakeholders on targets and business improvement.
• Developing local business partnerships to generate opportunities and support growth.
• Overseeing stock, ordering and day-to-day operational requirements.
